Design and construction of the Ashdod Seawater Desalination Plant, in Israel.

On December 25, 2016, the consortium successfully handed over to Israel's national water company Mekorot, Ashdod's Seawater Desalination Plant, after passing the 28-day running test on each half of the plant.

The consortium that has carried out the design and construction of Ashdod's Desalination Plant consists of Sacyr Agua (33,3%), Sacyr Industrial (33,3%) and Minrav (33,4%).

Ashdod Desalination Plant is located in the Southern District of Israel, which is the sixth largest city in the country, serving an estimated population of more than 210,000. The plant has the capacity to produce 385,000 m3/day by reverse osmosis, and has one of the largest ultrafiltration pretreatments in the world.

The project has been developed according to the standards established in the country's plants, ensuring the pooling of energy efficiency and security.
