Peaje-Hovis: Automatic occupancy control

Peaje-Hovis: Automatic occupancy control

Challenge

The objective of this project is the development of an automatic system to control the occupation of vehicles in toll plazas in a safe and reliable way, respecting the privacy of the occupants.

Solution

The system for the control of vehicle occupation consists of the development and integration of several non-invasive sensor techniques. The system is composed of a network of wireless sensor nodes. Each of the nodes integrates a sensor, a local processing module and a communication module.

Development of an automatic vehicle occupancy control system to increase energy efficiency on toll roads and VAO lanes

Objetives:

1. Use of sensors

2. Image processing

3. Reduction of the occupation of the road network

4. Preservation of privacy
