Melbourne Waste Treatment Plant

Melbourne Waste Treatment Plant

The plant, which is responsible for the mechanical and biological treatment of organic waste, is located in Dandenong South, South-East of Melbourne (Victoria State) and is the most advanced facility of this type in the Victoria State.

The project includes financing, engineering, construction, start-up and operation.

The selected process technology is among the most advanced in waste recovery and includes mechanical-biological treatment.

With the operation of the plant, more than 65,000 tons of CO₂ will no longer be released into the atmosphere each year and the emissions generated by the waste disposed into landfill, will be reduced by 85%, the equivalent of removing 13,900 cars from circulation.
